Where It All Began

In Colombo, at the intersection of internationally accredited business management and two decades of professional hospitality operations, a conviction took shape: Sri Lanka's extraordinary landscapes, ancient kingdoms, and diverse wildlife deserved a tourism partner who understood both the island and the people arriving to experience it.

Annora Ceylon was founded in 2015 by A. Ann Prasadini Perera and R. Anantha Dharshana Peiris — a visionary pairing whose complementary expertise created precisely the kind of company Sri Lanka's premium tourism market was missing. Ann's BBA from London Metropolitan University and Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Logistics gave her an acute understanding of what Australian and Swiss travellers expect. Anantha's SLITHM foundation and Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management from Singapore, combined with two decades of active hospitality operations, gave him the peer relationships and operational authority that make the extraordinary possible.

There is a particular kind of traveller — the Australian couple who want to hike through misty tea highlands in the morning and sip arrack watching the Indian Ocean turn gold at dusk; the Swiss family who crave the controlled thrill of a leopard sighting in Yala, followed by a private cooking class in a village home. Two Careers, One Shared Vision

Ann Prasadini Perera completes her BBA at London Metropolitan University and Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Logistics, developing deep expertise in international business management and supply chain operations. Simultaneously, Anantha Dharshana Peiris builds two decades of professional hotel management experience across Sri Lanka and abroad, accumulating the peer relationships and operational authority that will define Annora Ceylon's service delivery.

2015

Annora Ceylon Founded — A Name That Carries Its Purpose

Ann Prasadini Perera and Anantha Dharshana Peiris establish Annora Ceylon (Private) Limited in Colombo. The name, derived from the founders' own lineage, carries the meaning of honour and light in the Latin tradition. SLTDA registration is achieved as an authorised inbound DMC. The company launches targeting Australian and Swiss primary markets with English, German, and French language capability across seven tourism verticals.

2018 – 2022

Market Deepening — Australia 55%, Switzerland 25%

Australia emerges as the primary market, growing to 55% of annual guest arrivals. Switzerland and the German-speaking Swiss market grow to 25%. The company's portfolio of 12 signature packages is professionally developed — the Australian Honeymoon Wild Romance, Family Safari & Culture, Cultural Heritage Grand Tour, Swiss Wellness & Tea Country Retreat, Swiss Luxury All-Island Grand Journey, and seven more. A 40+ property premium accommodation network and 12 certified multilingual guides complete the operational foundation.

Recovery & Growth — Exceeding Pre-Pandemic Performance

Sri Lanka's tourism recovery brings Annora Ceylon to 200+ individually crafted itineraries annually with 96% guest satisfaction maintained across all markets.
